Research status: CONFIRMED son of Julius Franz Kretschmar and Lena, and added to the tree on Earl’s approval of 2 October 2026. In 1900 Max is among the children of Fritz and Lena Kretschmar S228; in 1910 he is in his father Frank’s household S433; in June 1919 the Army transport list names “Mr. Frank Kretschmar, father” as his next of kin S434; and in 1940 his widowed father lives with him S230. All four are read from the images. Added 2 October 2026

Fred (1901 E 1st) and Charlie F. (1903 E 1st) Kretschmar are next door on the same page. The directory does not say how they are related to Will. Ancestry indexes the number as 911.
